Statutory duty to make reasonable adjustments
The Equality Act 2010 says that your employer must make reasonable adjustments to remove the disadvantage(s) caused by your disability so that you can continue to work. The adjustments must be reasonable in terms of cost and should not have a disproportionate impact on your colleagues. Your employer has three statutory duties to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people at work so that you are not put at a substantial disadvantage as compared to as compared to someone who is not disabled [section 20 Equality Act 2010 (EqA)].
