What is Direct Discrimination?
Direct discrimination is when your employer treats you less favourably than others are treated or would be treated because of your protected characteristic - section 13 Equality Act 2010 (EqA).
You should look at less favourable treatment from your individual perspective rather than a larger group. It is about what is done to you personally rather than what happens to everyone else.
