Apprenticeship Framework
The published standard for a particular sector of work for an apprenticeship under the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009 (ASCLA 2009). An apprenticeship framework includes details of the outcomes that apprentices in that sector are expected to achieve (section 12, ASCLA 2009). Apprenticeship frameworks are being phased out in England and replaced by approved apprenticeship standards, which set out the required standards for approved English apprenticeships.
