Aggravated damages
This is a type of compensation (damages) which can be awarded by the Employment Tribunal in discrimination cases. Unlike unfair dismissal compensation, which is limited to your financial loss, discrimination claims include compensation for non-financial losses such as injury to feelings and aggravated damages. Aggravated damages are only awarded in the most serious cases if you are able to prove that your employers discriminatory behaviour was particularly offensive.
